Annika and Fabian Hinsche, mandolin and guitar, have been performing as "Mare Duo" in Europe and the US since 2004, as well as in different ensemble formations in Russia, Japan, Turkey and South America.
They have won more than 20 prizes on international competitions as soloists and as chamber musicians.
They have been teaching as assistant professors for their instruments at colleges, universities and on international masterclasses. Mare Duo has inspired numerous composers to enrich the repertoire for their instruments.
Such masters as C. Domeniconi, J. Zenamon, K. Vassiliev, J. Kindle, F. Wallace and many more have dedicated more than 50 compositions to them.
They have released several solo, duo and chamber music CDs with labels like Naxos, Schott Music, Gyre Records and appeared on broadcasting and TV productions like "MTV Unplugged". Mare Duo ranks among the “top rung of leading duos of their art” (concertino magazine).
